Obsidain is a naturally occurring volcanic glass. It is considered a gemstone despite having no defining crystalline structure/growth. Obsidian is sometimes formed when a lava flows cool. Snowflake obsidian contains cristobalite inclusions that form silverish gray bursts.
As a natural product each lot is a little different but will be similar in quality and size to pictures.
